The Fondazione Lac o Le Mon was established in late 2015 by artists Emilio Fantin, Luigi Negro, Giancarlo Norese, Cesare Pietroiusti and Luigi Presicce who, since 2006, have been working collectively as Lu Cafausu. The collective has been active in different contexts both in Italy and abroad, through performances, exhibitions and other actions. Soon after its creation, the Fondazione Lac o Le Mon acquired a wonderful old building with a large piece of land located on the border between San Cesario di Lecce and Cavallino (in the South-East of Italy), which they renamed the Casa Cafausica. Today, this site is the headquarters of an experimental center for the arts, based on self-led education.
La Fondazione Lac o Le Mon nasce nel 2015 per iniziativa degli artisti Emilio Fantin, Luigi Negro, Giancarlo Norese, Cesare Pietroiusti e Luigi Presicce che, a partire dal 2006, con il nome collettivo di Lu Cafausu, hanno organizzato performance, mostre e azioni eterodosse in diversi contesti, in Italia e altrove. Subito dopo la sua creazione la Fondazione ha acquisito un meraviglioso immobile con più di un ettaro e mezzo di terreno, situato sul confine fra il comune di San Cesario di Lecce e quello di Cavallino: la Casa Cafausica. Questa casa è la sede di un centro di sperimentazione e formazione artistica.
